~Pichon French Restaurant & Bar~20.07.07~
An evening at Pichon to taste French cuisine & experience the ambience in a French Restaurant. We arrived at 48 Boat Quay at about 7.15pm and was greeted by the Director of Marketing, Jess. She had reserved seats for both me & TaT by the riverside but we requested to be seated at Level 2 when the ambience was more romantic...*SweeT*
The decoration of the place (Level 2) was cosy, romantic and classy!!! *Highly recommended for couples*
We 'booked' the whole place for yesterday as the whole level had only 2 of us (as customers), while the rest chose to sit downstairs by the river and we even had a private waitress to attend to us... *Nice*
We had chosen to take the 5-course dinner set which cost $65.00+ & here goes our order:
TaT:
- Perrier
- Free Flow of French Bread
- Appetitzer ~ Smoked Duck Breast with Salad
- Main Course ~ Salmon En Croute
- Dessert ~ Profiteroles filled with Vanilla ice cream
- Tea with Milk
- Perrier
- Free Flow of French Bread
- Appetizer ~ Garlic Tiger Prawns *BEST*
- Main Course ~ Tenderloin with Bearnaise Sauce
- Dessert ~ Chocolate Fondant with ice cream
- Tea
Food review:
The food is good and its definitely worth a second visit (this time will be by the riverside). Our favourite:
*GARLIC TIGER PRAWNS!!!!*
Even TaT who is not a seafood lover expressed "THUMBS UP"!! Well Done Chef David :)
The main courses were delicious as well and the bearnaise sauce that i had chosen for my terderloin had alcohol added... Bravo!!
My dessert was also a killer... The chocolate lava just melts in your mouth and it is being neutralised when u eat it with the ice cream!! YUM YUM!!!
(Important lesson learnt: For desserts, you are supposed to take the fruits first, else they will taste sour if u take them after the highlights)
Conclusion:
Wonderful experience, romantic ambience, Delicious Food, Affordable price ~Definitely worth a second visit~
*Recommended!*
