It works!!! And i've got more!!!

Heard of how to treat your phone (that you are so dependent on) IF it should one day drop into the toilet bowl???

It happened to my N73...how lucky!!! Before its fall into the 'hole', it had dropped onto the floor. Guess someone out there (God, Heaven or Earth) must be giving me the biggest hint to change a new phone.

I bravely retrieved it from the 'bowl' and since i cant further wash it with water, i had to 'dry-clean' it... My greatest grievance about losing the phone is MY CONTACTS!!!! Almost all my partners, vendors, colleagues, friends, enemies, relatives'...... numbers are inside!!! It's going to take hell having to save all the numbers again.

Fortunately i heard of people saying to dismantle the phone putting it in a cup/bowl of rice. The rice would absorb the moisture and this would save the phone...

Don't think it's old wives tales because IT WORKSS!!! (at least for me!!) I left it for 1.5 days and i managed to switch my phone on again (though only after a few attempts) I'm glad i managed to do a back up for all the contacts...

Despite its speedy recovery, I still got myself a new mobile... Present from the Imperfect Man (refer to TaT's blog titled : "To Love An Imperfect Man") as my SUPER BELATED birthday present.. (in conclusion, my birthday was a romantic Italian Dinner + Nokia 6500Slide) :) :)

Above that, i got quite a great deal from ESPRIT... We were offered the "Friends of Esprit" card and could enjoy 40% off apparels and accessories.. I got myself a white bag on my first visit and a white blouse (similar to picture below but in white) and 2 undies on my second visit which is today!!!! It was really SAVERS DAY!!!

I'm really enjoying GSS...so far so good and i think more to come!!! WOOHOO!!

My First Time..... after a Long Time

We shared the same sentiments... After such a long time, we thought it's the appropriate time... It's such a common thing between 2 people these days and there is nothing to hide. In fact, people of younger age have tried it like numerous times!!!

We took our time, the feeling was HOT and satisfying... Seeing the body turn red and the anxiety increases...

OH!!! HMMMM!!!! SHIOK!!!!! is all that can be described during the process... how we wished we could last longer. We actually look forward to it pretty soon unless we hit that certain period of the month... Oh man... how disappointing!!!

It would be a memorable event as it's the first and i clearly remember how it happened...

We went shopping and we rejected the others' invitation to join them!!! We were determined as we both thought of it at the same time....

We rushed down to Suntec City Convention Hall and we dive towards our first time:

STEAMBOAT
(hope you weren't thinking of something else...wahaha)

Knowing Ms P for 10 over years, we concluded that we have not had steamboat together before, as in just the 2 of us...

We enjoyed the good old times as it has been long since i last went out with her alone -shopping, makan and catching up!!

We took our favourites (FISH & MEAT BALLS) and i took some prawns for the soup (this explains the body turning red!!!) As the food gets cooked in the pot, our hunger pangs grew louder, causing anxiety.

Bagus!!! Thumbs up for the soup that i had... We really hoped to eat more fish but we were really full and we wanted to continue more shopping too!!! We are planning where the next Makan spree will happen though we will avoid the time of the month where our pay is almost depleted on shopping!!! ~Hahaha...~

Enjoyable dinner on Sat 24 May 2008!!

By the way, any more clarifications from the readers?

After dinner was a round of STARBUCKS with warm chocolate cake!!! YUMMY!

Cheapest SteamBoat found in Northpoint!!!

Where can you find steamboat that cost $6 per pax during lunch? Serving, Meat, Salmon, Fishballs, Prawns, Golden Mushroom, Liver, hot dogs, vegetables....oh u name it!!... And there was free flow of F & N drinks too!!!!

I have the answers for you but sad to say, it's only for Staff of Northpoint!!! *Woo-Hoo*

All thanks to my Assistant Centre Manager (ACM)'s suggestion that we decided to eat steamboat for lunch on 22 May 08... No objections from Centre Manager too...

In my office, we have a big round table that many people like to sit there for meetings, breakfast or even do work. It's our multi-purpose table and it's also our venue for STEAMBOAT.. Surprisingly, this is not the first time and we actually have the pot, bowls, ladles, spoons etc all in our pantry... I prefer to call it a well-equipped 'kitchen'...

12 noon, ACM and Val headed to NTUC to get the fresh ingredients and everyone helped to set up the table while the rest were busy cutting meat in the 'kitchen'...

And we are all ready to tuck in the sumptuous lunch... We all enjoyed it and were stuffed after the 2 hour soup feast... We also managed to get FOC rice from food court... haha!!!

*Picture showing half of what we had*

I'm Lovin It!!

This place is so family that we do almost everything as One... Lunch with the whole office of 10 people, breakfast at the round table every morning with each of us taking turns to buy, steamboat that everyone contributes to help, off to Popular for stationery as there was 20% off and to NTUC for welfare stock up (Pick whatever you want to eat during office hours).

This isn't too Great A Week

This week (19 May - 23 May 08) hasn't been too great a week and I'm so glad it's O-V-E-R!!!!

~Mon (19 May 08)~
Who says having a Public Holiday is always enjoyable??? I spent my day at home trying to squeeze something out for my assignment... It's really difficult to attempt something that you are not good at - LANGUAGE!!!

Moreover, the weather now is extremely HOT, with temperatures as high as 34 Degrees C!!! It's making people easily frustrated and agitated!!!

~Tues (20 May) & Wed (21 May)~
Weather continues and my assignments are still undone!!! Goodness!!! Work load increases and i seem to need to handle everything that 2 people share the load in other malls!!! *My boss really thinks highly of me!!!* I have lots to learn, remember... And many meetings to attend!! Fortunately, my colleagues are nice and the environment i work in is very family-like....

This is a very strong factor that keeps me going!!!

~Thurs (22 May 08)~
The train stopped at Sembawang station and the doors refused to close!! Damn!! I will be late if it continues... (though it doesn't matter...like i said, my office is very family-like) Anyway, i reached at 8.35am - 5 mins late only.
Later did we realise that the colleague who was supposed to get breakfast for us that morning was also caught in the same train and she arrived only at 9am (The queue for the carrot cake was long!!)

On my way home, the train did not stop at Clementi!!! It went past the station and we heard announcements that we would need to transit at Dover.... What's wrong with SMRT today!!!! Arghhh....

11.55pm ~ I finally completed my assignment and submitted it.... What a relief!! Now, to worry about the next one due 2 June 08..

~Fri (23 May 08)~
More information to absorb at work and i realise i may have to handle the customer service officers too... This means that I'm doing the work of 3 people as compared to the other malls!!! I must be Super-Woman!! But I'm quite happy with this new place that I'm in... at least i don't dread going to work like before...

Finally the week is not as tense as the past few days... While i still have some time before i rush for the next assignment, i want to focus all my time and concentration on work!!!

Caught the mid-night show of "Indiana Jones" ; too lengthy i thought and I'm surprised that 3 out of 9 of us dozed off during the show... The adventure journey was too long and not as exciting as expected...

Lastly, it's the start of GREAT SINGAPORE SALE!!! And I'm dressing up for a great shopping spree after my lunch on a Wonderful Saturday!!!

Woo-Hoo!!!!

Unexpected Rewards - All thanks to UOB!

It's just another Sat that I decided to have dinner with my family instead of meeting TaT. We went to Marina Square-cum-Suntec and while buying my favourite ice-cream from "Azabu Sabo", a huge window display poster caught my eye: "UP TO 50% off" and it's from TOPSHOP.....Woohoo!!

A lot of items are on sale, 40%, 50%.... and i got myself a pair of grey pants!! Usual Price @ $89 but NOW $49!!! On top of that, UOB Cardmembers enjoy additional 10% off sale items... *What more can u ask for??*

Being in the retail line tells me that if TOPSHOP is running a sale, all the other brands under the Wingtai Family would be.... and thus, off we headed to Dorothy Perkins where I got myself another pair of pants, black this time... Similarly, it's additional 10% off sale items... Ho Ho Ho!!!

~I need lots of office wear as my new place emphasize a lot on attire~

What unexpected rewards right? GSS starts next week, 23 May 08 and I cant imagine how the economy is going to be... It's going to be the peak and this means it's SHOPPING SPREE for me!!!

I want to go to Far East Plaza to visit a shop that i found online and also to get some fashion stuff!!!

In the meantime, it's TaT's time on Sunday as well as Assignment Time!! ~What a Turn Off!~ I need to go to IKEA to get some storage boxes for my work station so assignments perhaps to be done during the weekdays!! Maybe i should go for Foot Reflexology too :) Maybe to go for a swim, Maybe for a massage or even More Shopping... Maybe .... ... ...

What Happens In Vegas?

Caught the movie at 11.30pm last night...What can i say?

It's a Fabulous Movie!!! Romantic with elements of humour.... Quite predictable yet it brings out the simplicity of true love!!

Hmmm, True Love.... how many people actually experience this?? and the definition?

Anyway, it's a movie that i think worth a watch... Has really helped me relaxed after 4 consecutive days of 4 hour Lecture!!!

About the Movie (extract from the web)
Two strangers awaken together to discover that they have gotten married following a night of debauchery in Vegas. . . and that one of them has won a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. The newlyweds devise ever-escalating schemes to undermine each other and get their hands on the money - only to find themselves falling in love amidst the mutual backstabbing.

Movie Duration: 98mins (with a funny ending..... "U KNOW WHY??")

(I decided to give it 4 stars as nothing is perfect in this world... perhaps 4.5 if it makes u feel better)

Mid May Updates

It's almost Mid-May and i have quite a lot to update but couldnt find time or maybe i'm just too lazy to word everything...
I have started my new job at Frasers Centrepoint (Northpoint) and it has been a pleasure learning experience there with patient, friendly and helpful colleagues... And they have been there for a very long time!!! (it means the environment is GOOD!!!)

The only not so good thing about the new job is my new work station!!! It is just a very small desk with no storage space for me (all files under the table....what about my legs????) and it was very DUSTY & MESSY... i almost fainted by the sight of it.

I have given it a good clean and i will be getting storage spaces from IKEA to store the files, documents....what have u??? To me, a clean, tidy and organised environment is very important in order to be efficient and effective...

I wonder how my ex-colleagues are coping with 'her' though i do receive complains now and then from a few of them... Hah... soon they will realise the pain i have gone through and why i did not choose to stay..

~This was taken during my last few days at JP~

Also attended my ex-colleague's wedding... Quite a simple and pleasant one Tat & I thought... Now all we need is more $$$ before we set up our own family too... A place where we call home and we would spend our time living in the little world of ours.... Peace and Freedom!!! Would love to upload the photos taken that day but according to the bride, the photos are not ready yet (below is self-taken)...sob sob!!

Havent been in the pink of health for the last few days... stomach virus and i guess it's caused by the curry chicken or curry vegetable that i took... Was so in pain that i actually sat down on the floor of Centrepoint while Tat tried to call for a cab to send me home. Though im still feeling a little queasy, im glad i can still make it to work today...

Also glad that i managed to finish my assignment despite my condition...
Lesson learnt: No more last min work (I try to lah...) and my reward of accomplishment, i received one of the five "C"s!!! Haha...
