Spree @ Bugis Village ~Bag Craze~

19.07.07 ~ Peggy & I set off to Bugis Village in search of my long needed bag... (i had to get a bag coz i have decided to discard all the white bags that i have)

It wasnt our first attempt there for the search but I still wanted to make this trip there...

Hah...FATE!! We saw so many wonderful bags...Big is the in thing now!!!

Even Peggy was tempted to buy..

Day-end Rewards:

I swept 2 bags & Peggy bought 1...

~I shallnt post the pics of my bags online coz im a humble person ~Dont like to show off~...hahahahahaha

In fact the bags at Bugis Village are not cheap i feel... it's no longer at the $20~$30.00 days... the 2 that i bought are of prices that i have seen at Far East Plaza ~Close to $50.00 for 1 item~ [Lucky i got full sponsorship for these 2 bags....*Phew*]

But the designs are good...Classy, Stylish ~Good piece of accessory for daily work usage~
*And after time, if u get sick of it or when it gets dirty, u wont feel the pinch but would gladly get them replaced*

Not only was a "Bag day", i also bought a JUMPER!!! Denim Jump Suit!! *So Happy*

I have been searching for one for a LONG LONG TIME...

As we headed back to Bugis Junction, we saw the chefs of Hotel Intercontinental stacking the biggest & tallest Wedding cake *Think there's a wedding fair there*

Many stood there to share the anxiousness and effort of the end results.. Was definitely not an easy task when a layer of it seems to weigh a ton (from the way the employees carry them)

~FYI, there are 2 more layers but we din wait coz we headed for supper!~ YUMMY!!!

Im Back... Back from my happening weekend...Bet u must have waited long for this, right??

We set off to 46 Pasir Ris Ave, to the bungalow where Clarence's 1st Birthday going to be held...

Dump our stuff in our rooms and we focused our attention the the Prince of the DaY:

*Bought him a set of beach toys from Isetan from Tampines Mall*

When it was almost party time... Clarence had a little wash up and he put on his Bday Attire... Me & Peggy of coz also got ready for our Jacky Cheung World Tour 2007 @ the Indoor Stadium!!

(Sorry Clarence...I didnt mean to miss your Party... but i really had to see my idol..)

Here we are at the Indoor Stadium where we entered by the Premier Entrance... It was "People Mountain People Sea"...

The Concert was Great!!! Fantastic!!! Best of the Best!!! Indeed the God Of Songs!!!

I wouldnt mind paying to see him again....*so in love with u*

Went to the park for some photo-taking session with my little Clarence... What a waste that Jen's photos disappeared... else we can see nicer pics from her camera... all the great shots & pose of Clarence...

For the evening, while the rest had to do a second round of entertaining, Tat, Peggy & myself visited Pichon Restaurant & Bar for French National Day!!! Theme of Red, Blue & White!!

~HaPPy Bastille Day!!~

Of coz there was Julian & Lily... and we met the director of the company and also one of the VPs from UOB... *Friendly guy... no airs, nice meeting him!! *

Though we did not manage to try the food, we had the pastries which was very nice too..Yummy, Yummy!!!

It was a wonderful experience at the restaurant... Met & befriend people... Experience that my work place may not provide since im at the back-end side. Learnt many things too!!

A Day at Sentosa after we checked out!!!

It was a tiring day... Moving round the island... From Underwater World, Images of Singapore, 4D Magix, Dolphin Lagoon & Songs of the Sea!!!

Despite tiring, it was enjoyable...A very family feeling....warm and nice to be hanging round together...

Many families are not as lucky as i am... *Let's plan the next trip to the Zoo or Bird Park* Learning experience for Clarence.. :)

I was exhausted when i finally reached home at 10+... i miss my bed, my Ping Ping, my Mikoko Monkey & of coz my TaT (though i dont hug him to bed at night)... ~heehee~

Above all is a brief summary of how i spent my Wonderful Weekend...(lazy to upload more pics.. catch them on friendster if u are interested)

Meeting Mr Ego

All this while, Mr Ego hasnt been very popular amongst the team. Ask why? Let me enlighten u...

For a simple reason, he is egoistic!!! Extreme case...

Not only that, he's also COCKY... thinks so highly of himself and feels he's on top of the world...

"Hey Man, Wake up your idea!!! There are many more up there, who are more capable and yet more importantly, more humble!!"

Here is a classic case:
*Email*
Date: 06.07.07
Me: "We have done ..... for this issue created by so and so... Mr Ego, pls raise the attached form for ..............."
Date: 11.07.07
Mr Ego: "I'm puzzled by your instruction... why do i need to ......?
Me: "This is as per instruction by xxx and the reason is due to ............. Should u require further clarifications, pls refer to xxx or xxx."
Mr Ego: "Kindly explain to me in Person"

My first reaction when i saw this was "HUH??? Isnt the email clear enough for understanding??" I did not take action on the email...

For a simple logical reason, if u cannot understand something, shouldnt u be the one taking initiative to ask instead of asking me to explain to u in person!!! Im the one who is PUZZLED now!!

The email was later further elaborated by another personnel involved and he finally replied:" ok, thanks." FYI, this personnel is also a middle-ranking officer.

Things then became crystal clear that Mr Ego was feeling mentally imbalance because this so-call "instruction" came from me, a small fry in the team!!

To think i have always been told that ranks dont matter as long as u are capable and do your work right... What did i get in the end for following orders from the top??

Being despise just because im are a small fry, a nobody in the organization... someone with no degree to show!!!

Yes, i do admit that i am a small fry but i dont think i want to allow myself to lose my pride and bow to such a person (so what if he is of higher rank, does it mean he has the privilege to do and say the wrongs things..

I insist my stand and if u are unhappy with me then we shall seek higher authorities for advice.

I shall not allow myself to be bullied ~Between giving in and fighting for my rights, i choose the latter~ We should not condone such behaviour & I believe the world is filled with more reasonable people than the unreasonables.

Though i managed to share this with TaT over the phone this afternoon, i was rather disappointed that he couldnt make it to meet me.

He has been working late these few nights and the record breaking timing was till 3am last night!!! *Goodness*

Let's hope tomorrow my "busy like a big boss" Bf has time for me... (i say this to myself every night but this week there are more disappointments)

We need to collect tickets for Jacky Cheung's Concert and also buy Clarence's birthday Gift (Din buy today coz i told Kel & Jen the model that i saw at IMM was nicer)
This weekend is too happening and there are many things that we need to prepare...

Our Moments of Reflections

Let's all face the fact... Not everyday is a Happy day... Not every moment with your loved ones are loving & happy...

At the end of the day, its how we deal with the unhappiness, anger or negative feelings of life that matters...

For me, blogging is a channel to express my thoughts & feelings of the day...just like an open diary where all my close friends, family get to read...

TaT feels that blogging improves one's english...and i agree...i usually make an effort to use grammatically right eng coz i dont want to end up like some broken Eng blogs that i have come across (of coz the choice is yours...im not trying to insult anybody's Eng)

If i were to blog all my happy entries and hide my sad ones, probably im not being truthful. There are bound to be the down moments of life...

As u read up to this stage, u must be wondering what has got into me?? Why do i sound so pessimistic today?? Did i have a tift with TaT?

Actually not at all, although he did "bully" me today... :) He purposely want to make me sulk like a kid!! ~so bad~

Im fine!!! Just feel like sharing my thoughts of life... moments of awareness !!

As we move on in life, let's all hope that we take some time from our busy schedule to reflect on the moments of life and change for the better.... Cheers!!

A DaY of Complains

Reading from my title, can u guess who im going to complain abt?

If u know u have been bad and thought that im going to openly talk bad abt u, SAVE IT!!!

As long as u know u done wrong, me being a Smaritan will gladly forgive u!!! ~wahahaha~

The Main characters for today's entry are

1. Western Food store assistant
2. Sales Assistant @ MNG Vivo

Complain 1:

Visited Tiong Bahru Plaza Food Court yesterday for my lunch & ordered a set of Grilled Fish with Coleslaw & Potato Salad as sides... The food was shared between P-egg-y & my Mum...

To our dismay after my Mum tried the FISH & THE COLESLAW, we realised the food was BAD!!! This was futher confirmed by P-egg-y who compared her serving of Grilled Fish... Both ordered at the same time but mine was BAD!!

So we took it back to the store to complain... The kitchen assistant tasted the food too... From her expression, we could tell that she too knew the food was bad, just that she couldnt show it out as there were other customers patronising the store, waiting for their food... (initially they even wanted to argue that the food is supposed to taste slightly sour as they added lemon)

They did an exchange for us and we got a new plate of Fish & Chips instead!!! Though their recovery was not too bad but i dont think i will eat there again!!

Complain 2:

Visited MNG @ Vivocity yesterday and was wondering if i could get anything...(I usually cant get Sales items...)

Had an encounter with this sales assistant who was standing there trying to fold the mess of clothes created by the earlier shoppers...*MNG was having sale and i think having heaps of clothes was normal*

As she was folding, her eyes were actually staring at US..the shoppers who were trying to find the right piece among the mess... She even stopped a Malay couple who was only trying to take a look at the design of the pants... She went straight up to them and ask what size they needed!!!

I was also looking for my size and so she approached me, trying to prevent me from creating more mess (actually my presence wasnt going to make any difference because as i was choosing there, she folded only like 6 pcs out of 100 over pcs and there were other shoppers choosing as well)

She told me she has only "S" left... Sadly i turned and walked away, without realising that my mum was still observing her... True enough, she was mumbling something...

Guess what happened next??? My Mum told her off straight in the face!!

Serve her right!! i didnt try to stop my mum coz i seriously think her attitude sucks!!!

What a day having to face 2 difficult cases...watsmore on a Sun!!

Actually there are many more people i would like to complain (esp abt the Tai-Chi mistress or Tai Tai) but too bad, these people like to read my blog... they simply love my blog (im so lovable... i understand!!!) so I shall not do it here... They shall be recorded in my Little Black Book instead.

*To recap, Little Black Book contains people, actions, etc that I dislike*Disgusting people!!! EEEEeeee....~wahahahaha~
